Goodness me!

Goodness me. This morning I stopped what I was doing when I saw a spell of sun, and went for a walk. Sudden warm wind, it was delightful and I was wearing a T-shirt for that period of time, unbelievable! I came back home and was determined to have a swim, as it was idyllic. I went in without neoprene socks and this time I couldn't go further than you can see. It was literally freezing. Also I'...

It was cold...

I went for a walk and on my way back I really felt like dipping. My mind was ready, my body not so much! So it was a brief immersion and I felt good afterwards so all perfect! You can tell there's been a lot of snowing recently up in the mountains.

More songbird these days, which is exciting!

Throwback January-February 2022

I love having a look at places where I've been swimming, I can feel how I felt back then. Specially now that I'm down with a nasty cough and don't want to risk a swim in this wintery weather.

In January and February 2022 I was travelling with my ex in my van in AndalucΓa manly and then a bit in Alicante and Castilla La Mancha ( the first one is from Asturias, one the way back from trave...

New year's dip at the sea

Yesterday I went to the seaside with a friend and her daughter and it was lovely to share the first dip of 2026 in good company and laughter in a beautiful place with quite a few of walkers in big coats. Love the contrasts.

I hope you had a good start of the year ❀️

Last swim of 2025

I felt like a cleansing dip to start 2026 fresh πŸ™πŸΎ

Thank you very much for your support this year, I really appreciate every one of you πŸ™πŸΎ

Thank you for your interest, I hope you've enjoyed following my wild water journey over this year πŸ«‚ and I hope to have inspired you somehow, in any way.

May you have a wonderful start of 2026, or at least peaceful ❀️ View Post

Crab legs

Frosty morning. Glad that the sun is out to make life a bit more cosy πŸ™πŸΎ

I had a very peaceful morning until I needed to rescue one of my cats from a Rubin's roof with my neighbour and his tractor πŸ˜… After that adventure I was ready for a full immersion in the river! It was a bit stressful but all when ok.

I wasn't in the river long at all, and my legs went completely red, a...

Amazing time at the beach

Goodness me, what a lovely time at the beach today, despite being a bit chilly, around 7 degrees!

I was feeling full of energy and dreaming of dancing at the beach while driving. I did dance (you can see the footsteps on the sand!), and swam. The water was very clear and quite cold so I didn't stay for ages. Then I danced again and sunbathed for a while, thanks to the protection of the r...

Throwback 2021

2021 was also a great year of exploration and swimming and walking in amazing places. I definitely became wilder and bolder. At that time I was really living in my bones being ecosexual (feeling nature as lover, not as mother as it's more commonly considered - it doesn't mean it's one or the other, it can be considered both!). It was a very pleasurable and exhilarating period. Can you imagine t...

Midwinter blessings

Midwinter dip!

Winter solstice blessings to you all! Very chilly and very lovely at the same time. Decided to leave neoprene socks behind as I'm just for a pretty much in and out experience these days. I enjoyed that, feeling the water in my feet again.

Throwback 2020

I like reflecting back during December, not just about the year but also taking a broader context of the lifespan. I was revisiting my many wild adventures in 2020, I would say the year I really started exploring the wild and me as a wild creature, deepening the conection with my body and the natural world, not just being outside but also by living a life more connected to cycles, seasons, grow...

Throwback December 2019

6 years ago I was saying goodbye to my beloved lake in the Peak District. It's were I started wildswimming all year around. That place is pure magic, and I'd love to visit it again; one of these places very close to my heart.

After that I went travelling to Spain and France for a couple of months with my van so the picture of the sea is from my last dip in the UK until I returned to the ...

Sunday and Sea

I drove to the sea to enjoy some sunshine on my skin. I did go into the sea but only in until the ankles, the sea is really rough, the currents are strong and unpredictable. That refreshing touch on the shore was enough, and drying in the sun. Air temp probably around 10-12 degrees.

I also danced πŸ™πŸΎ I love dancing at the beach!

I hope your weekend was good πŸ’™

Aliveness and joy

I feel so alive and full of beans (I love this expression!). Now I feel I've closed a chapter, not just mentally, now I also feel it in my body, and I feel really alive and connected. Trusting, with faith in whatever is next. Life is such a ride of moving throught experiences and emotions.

I hope this sparks some joy in your lives! I want to share it with you! And oh goodness, this winte...

Super nice! The beach

I was lucky enough to find the perfect moment of the tide here for a swim at the shore. The sea has been very very rough these weeks, I was told, and I thought I wasn't going to be able to get it. Well, I did and I also sunbathed while standing for quite a while, drew on the sand and relaxed. It was perfect πŸ™πŸΎπŸ’™

Sudden warm wind

It's being very cold and rainy recently. And then today, all of the sudden I opened the door wearing lots of layers and a warm wind greeted me! I went out to teach Qigong a d had a dip on my way back home. The current is now very strong, and I have my safe spot in place, adding the fallen tree to it that keeps me extra safe (unless currents become stronger that will move it downstream); a very ...

Clowning

Clowning as a technique to get into the cold water πŸ˜… it's been snowing in the mountains nearby and this river feeds from there, so trust me it's cold (on top of my needs of warmth)!

Sunday splish splash

Today the house is colder than outside. Yesterday was a ver cold day and I was expecting something similar today. When I opened the window this morning I was surprised to feel the warmish wind.

I went to the riverside and it was just nice to be naked for a bit, like a bare tree. The sound of the water was stronger as it has been raining quite a bit; it carries more water but the current ...

There we go again!

Today I decided to go for neoprene socks as I'm starting to feel tha my feet struggle to be warm during the day and the skin in some toes is getting super soft in a too delicate way for this adventures. Time moves on and we need to adapt to the circumstances, or at least I want to adapt in this modest way.

It was great to immerse my head this time, still carrying that headache and I felt...

Headache

I have been having a headache these days and I was torn between fully immersing or not. It was just so lovely to be naked in the sun that that was already a win win.

I went in timidly, acclimatised a bit and went out to dry in the sun. But something was calling me again in the river, and I went back and immersed, this time with my head too. I felt relief, the cold running water taking aw...

The call of the sea

I went to the sea to do a self generated ritual for closure and make internal space for new beginnings. It was very moving, nature is such a teacher; this simple yet potent practices keep surprising me. Very healing. Maybe you can notice changes in my face (pictures were taken within a range of only 15 minutes) in terms of being uplifted.

Very cleansing and playful sea; just what I neede...

Shy rays

I managed to feel the sun as I was trying to get into the cold water. What a difference it makes!

I believe it was around this time last year that I had started wearing neoprene socks... Well, so far I don't feel I need them just yet, maybe tomorrow I'll say something completely different. Adapting to the situation!

Full moon

Cleansing dip while raining a bit. Full moon in Taurus invites to ground, nourish the body, find pleasure in the small things. Cleansing in the river, trying to let go something that is being very present these days, in order to accept - not just from mind, but mostly from the body. Knowing and feeling are very different.

I harvest some Brussel sprouts on my way back home; I do love them...

Beautiful Autumnal hike

So glad that I went with a friend to this natural park (1h30' away from home) to soak in the beautiful autumnal colours and light. It was a challenging one for me and at the end I was completely exhausted. I wasn't going to go to the peak but I was persuaded. And I did it, I in a way I'm glad that I did to see what I'm able to do nowadays. On the other side, my intuition was telling me that doi...

After work dip

I can't believe it's nearly November, and at the same time it makes total sense because I can feel it in the water's temperature. Just before I went in a kingfisher flew by, they always fill me with joy, those rapid blue comets!

Of zombies and vitality

I came back from a trip and only had 4 hours' sleep all together tonight. I was a proper zombie and then a miracle happened. I went barefoot to the garden to pick some veggies for lunch and have a dip and my energy levels radically changed. It was instant. Feeling vitality and that gorgeous feeling of being back home. Specially with this tasty sunshine that warms up the bones after the cold wat...
