First couple of monthly pinups. Doing things different this month where I'm going for volume. Lots of chibi sketches which the Lifeguards will get to pick to see colored at the end of the month. Look for more of these to come.

June Pinup Suggestion Thread

It's a new month! Which means that it's time, once again, to solicit suggestions from my patrons (you) for the monthly pinup. HOWEVER! I've decide to do something a little different this month. As I've been learning a new coloring technique, I need PRACTICE with it. And that means doing it a lot. So! Instead of ONE pinup, I'm going to do SO MANY PINUPS!

So here's how this is going to work...

Last of the Queue

These are the last of my existing commission queue (save for some larger comic commissions that are in the works. Feels really good to reach the end of that queue. Did a lot of fun pieces, and I learned a lot myself, really focusing on improving my coloring technique. Everything I draw is a chance to learn and improve, and I don't care to waste such opportunities.

Strength Check

Commission I did for Gardnerverse. Also did a NSFW variant that'll show up in another post. It's a simple piece, but I got to do a lot of different kinds of stuff, artistically speaking which made it pretty fun.

May Pinup - Alice and the Flowers

This one took a little longer than usual. I was learning a new coloring technique. Usually I use a mixture of multiply or hard-light layers to achieve things, but I recently figured out how to do my rendering below my base colors, rather than on top of. This lets me focus on lighting in a way that's been very difficult for me to achieve previously. It's also a lot less "destructive" which makes...

Sometimes you just gotta practice. And that means studies. Quick little drawings that don't specifically apply to anything. Draw things to prove you can. Apparently I can draw hands without thinking too hard about them. I'm also ok at faces, though I find they're much harder when not anchored to a body.

More pages! Progress on them, anyway. While getting them all inked before coloring them I think will make for a more consistent final product, it kinda goes against my webcomic roots. So, I'm not sure how I feel about approaching the project in this way.

As with every month, in addition to the sketches and the comic progression, I do a custom illustration for you fine folks! I collect the best suggestions from you Patrons, work up some possibilities for the Lifeguard tier patrons to choose from and the one with the most votes get drawn up!

Ruby Wolf

I've drawn Ruby and Cain a number of times, and Cain in his wolf form more often than not, but... well... fucking a werewolf comes with side effects.

April's Showers

The prompt voted for unanimously by the Lifeguards was an interesting one. A little vague perhaps, something about April showers and May flowers, and possibly Aunt May, but the end results are pretty stunning, if I do say so myself.
