This one took a little longer than usual. I was learning a new coloring technique. Usually I use a mixture of multiply or hard-light layers to achieve things, but I recently figured out how to do my rendering below my base colors, rather than on top of. This lets me focus on lighting in a way that's been very difficult for me to achieve previously. It's also a lot less "destructive" which makes editing things so much easier, if I want to change a color for instance, I can just swap it out without having to redo a lot of effort rendering. It's such a great technique, and while it'll still take me a bit to really get the hang of it, I think it's going to take my art to a whole new level. I'm super stoked.
Also! It was super fun to draw Alice again. Maybe should have made the flowers sexier, somehow, but whatever. That can happen with future drawings!
