Another two pages! I'm trying something where I'm thinking about lighting much much earlier in the process; establishing my basic lighting scheme in the pencil stage. I think this is/will help me focus a panel and even a page. Regardless, I think they look pretty dang good!

Trigun Stampede
Have you been watching Trigun Stampede on Hulu? I've been enjoying it. They've made a bunch of changes from the original anime, most of which I think are pretty good changes. Really focused the story more on Vash and his brother Knives, which really came pretty late in the original show (as I remember it).
Plus Meryle is a real cutie in the remake.

I can really let the rendering get away from me sometimes. One of these renders went WAY faster (granted, I had done it several times by that point, but still). It's often true that less is more, but it's hard to hold myself to that sometimes.
So which version do you like better? The elaborate shading or the simpler cel-shaded style?

I liked those sketches of Brinks as much as you all did, so I had to color at least one of them. I'll be truthful with you all, I feel I struggle with rendering darker skin, so that's something I'm going to practice this month. Gotta do the thing to git gud, and I want to be able to do this lady justice.
