A Polycule of Mars pages 14 and 15 pencils

I'm trying something where I'm thinking about lighting much much earlier in the process; establishing my basic lighting scheme in the pencil stage. I think this is/will help me focus a panel and even a page. Regardless, I think they look pretty dang good!

Starting with the lighting earlier is really making the panels pop dramatically with the spacial positioning, especially the panels on page 14. There's also a really interesting thematic thing happening on all the pages with this scene where every sexual insertion is happening in the shadow's caused by the upper light. Each blowjob panel her face is being cast in shadow, and each insertion shot her ass is dramatically shadowed as well. The only panel that breaks the shadow on her face is the 3rd one of page 15, where she isn't sucking. Maybe it's just drama caused by the lighting, but my writer-brain is seeing some sort of thematic commentary about how the sex is eagerly wanted, but needs to be kept secret. If intentional, that's awesome. If not intentional, maybe I'm reading too much into it but it works really well and happy accident.
