The old version of this was certainly a learning experience for me. This green and orange character proved to be a design challenge I simply couldn't figure out how to solve, which left the piece feeling really lackluster - like it missed that punch I loved from my art.
So, this is how I approached it almost an entire year later! The pose changed, the lighting was rebuilt, and completely...
There really is something that I love about this render :3
