Power of the Doctor review is in the works. Wrote 4 pages of first draft on Monday, covering the first 35 / 88 minutes of the episode. Cold War review will be out on Thursday. Will post again when I have more progress.

As usual, I'm more interested in where the story is going from here than in what happened this time. It was kinda neat to see old companions and doctors though.

Messy, confusing plot, characters only talking in expository dialogue, elements feeling unnecessary, it really feels like Chibs went, "this is my last episode ever, fuck it, I'll just do whatever I want!" And I honestly respect him for that. It really feels like this could've benefited from being a multipart story with the Easter/ New Year specials because legend of the sea devils feels absolutely pointless and so does the Dalek Groundhog Day one. Hell, most of Flux feels pointless in retrospect. What was the whole point of the Timeless Child stuff? What did we actually learn? That the Time Lords are evil? We already knew that! At least we can all shove this era out of our memories like Yaz got shoved out of the Tardis at the end of the episode.
