Avernus: The ebook (at last)

I had to sit on this awhile because it was the end of a long series. I edited it and have it ready in its final version.

The story here is exactly the same as what you've read along the way. I tidied language and some dialog, but the story remains the same.

Ha ha! Wonderful. I heard he's really popular at the party after the after-party. Even when he doesn't win.

Thanks KT, at some point I think I need to go back and read all 15 books over from the star. I feel I’m misremembering a lot of things from the first 5 or 6 books that probably could enlighten some of the things we see at the end. At some point…I’m not sure I’m ready to let Kimmy sink her talons into me again just yet. 😂

KT, some guy from Toronto named Devlin is currently leading the Indianapolis 500. You know anything about that? Well, so much for that. Looks as if an Asian woman in stilettos and a wickedly short skirt just appeared on pit row and the Devlin guy lost 40 seconds to the leader just like that!

Thanks so much, Kat—and it was truly great having your voice here

That conversation happened only in Josh's head. In my opinion, Kimmy and Keith had a normal business lunch; Josh watched and made up what they were saying, and what he imagined they were saying was of a sexual matter. He imagined that Keith and Kimmy were already having an affair, and that they had discussed roping Josh into a cuckold scheme. Josh imagined Kimmy doing it all over again.

It was a crazy ride!

Really deserves the term novel!

"The thrilling transgression of porn being legitimized by art..." on the redemption of Fanny Hill and Ulysses... Anon.

It was an auspicious privilege to be a witness to this transcendent act of creation... no nit picking on my part...Like Nabokov said a writer creates their readership, and I believe you also wisely followed Brian Ó Nualláin's precept on getting something worth reading. All the best as the Irish say... in this case not merely a wish... but rather a statement of fact.

KT, thanks for a wild ride. I really loved every minute of it.

Excellent job. One question: When Keith said to Kimmy " What did he say"" what was he trying to find out? Your thoughts...

It's like there's a ghost town...

Thanks, James. I feel like the story is final now at last. It didn't feel right for the longest time, but when I re-read it and edited it, I decided I wouldn't change a thing. Still troubled by it, just the same.

The afterword you’ve written for the book is beautiful, KT. I read a lot, but had never read anything like this before, especially in this genre, but this book transcends any genre. As I told you last summer, this book brought me through a lot of heartache and hardship the past couple years. It was my escape from real life, which at times was pretty awful. I think I’m going to miss the discussions about this book the most. I joined your Patreon from another reading app, because I was dying for some intelligent discussion about your wonderful writing. I haven’t been disappointed. 🙂 Thank you for this final book. I can’t wait to reread it.

Kat

Congratulations on getting this up and out the door, KT
