Underdogs

Poll 2 of 3

Comments

How about The Cheyenne Social Club with Jimmy Stewart and Henry Fonda, Jeremiah Johnson with Robert Redford.

Patricia Mabry

You must've hated Dogma then. :D

Kristin D

i like Bill and ted. it's just i detest George carlin.

Wolf

Deep Impact and Armageddon simply must be watched back to back. To not to do that is simply never done. it is considered the height of folly. Simply

Wolf

ohhh. now see, that makes sense. hmmmm. it seems you are always making a lot of sense. hmmmm

Wolf

seven is this era's, i dunno, psycho

Wolf

You may enjoy a 1982 musical film starring Dolly Parton called The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Some loved it, some didn't (I did). It is also a stage musical. Starred Jim Nabors, Charles Durning, and Burt Reynolds. There's a bit of nudity and the topic is a bit problematic for some but it is still a fun movie.

Leesa

Seabiscuit has to be a choice soon please

John

Kevin Spacey was brilliant in 7

Sean colenso

Of course I must choose Bill and Ted. I remember seeing it twice in the theaters. I do beleive a True Underdog movie (IMO) would be one like "Breaking Away" This is one of Dennis Quaid's earlier films.

Christopher Puttre

Se7en is brilliant. I saw it in the theater on the night it opened. I didn't eat for over 24 hours afterwards, and I have not watched it again.

Michael J Paulus

that thing you do

Nicole Christie

Is this poll's "winner" the one that gets the least votes or 2nd to most votes (as the "underdog")? ;)

EmberCello

Great movie.

Anthony Donato

Deep Impact makes me cry, every damn time. Love it! That Thing You Do. Tom Hanks, killer soundtrack, it has been watched, uh, SEVERAL times at our house. πŸ₯° Basically, anything but Close Encounters. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Jocelyn Haeberle

I want to vote for Deep Impact, but since it's going to lose, I'm throwing my vote in with Seven. I think this will give Amber the psychological thriller vibe that she's been looking for.

Kristin D

Underdog in relation to heavy hitters. These movies will never win in a poll against movies like Godfather and Gladiator.

Kristin D

to be fair the only actual underdog movie in this list is bill and ted. but i voted for Seven because it's funny when a certain d0od turns green and trys to climb walls or dive under chairs.

Wolf

this is the pinnacle of serial killer movies. it should have won oscars. Seven

Wolf

So torn between Bill & Ted and Seven. Both are a must, but I think this time I'll go with Seven to appeal to Amber's thing for psycho serial killers.

Robert Greffey

Close Encounters for us older folks please. All time great movie.

John DelVecchio

Had to go with Bill and Ted. Most excellent!

Maya Bairey Β«SupermodelSquadΒ»

This summer you have to do Grumpier Old Men. And yes ice fishing is big up here, and with some exceptions we do get that much snow.

Mike Jenson

Couldn't decide between Deep Impact and Close Encounters. These are the two I think you would like. Seven is intense and was a disappointment for me despite the super cast. Never saw the others. Decided on Deep Impact to up its percentage.

Shirley Durr

The Patriot would be a great one on the 4th of July

Casey Salley

Being from San Dimas I have to go with Bill and Ted.

Dylan

I 100% agree with you!!

Janell

I voted FGT as well knowing it would lose, but I hope Seven wins

RC Romero

Never thought about doing a natural disaster poll but someone else has echoed what you said. I’ll make sure we get to that!

Jordan Robinson

Agreed

RC Romero

Deep Impact on those poll has me thinking you guys could do a natural disaster month. Films like Deep Impact, Armageddon, Day After Tomorrow, 2012. I'd say Independence Day too, but really you guys should watch that week of 4th of July.

RC Romero

Deep Impact is good for a natural disaster poll.

Mike Jenson

Great list of movies!! You should watch them all!! I chose Bill & Ted. I struggled with it over Close Encounters and Deep Impact. Very difficult choices, but you will love whichever wins out! No losers here!

Jayce

My vote was for Fried Green Tomatoes, but Seven is great as well.

Ginny Vann

Bill and Ted is so much fun!

Thomas Porter

Girl, you and I both lol

Patty Estrada

I will never give up πŸ˜‚

Jordan Robinson

If we don’t give Amber the chance to watch β€œFried Green Tomatoes”, dammit lol.

Patty Estrada

I like the idea of a poll for fun movies!

Jordan Robinson

That Thing You Do has great music and is just a good movie to watch

Jennifer Sanchez

That Thing You Do! Is perfect. Hanks! 1960’s rock! Comedy! Ron Squad perfection.

Michael and Phyllis Selby

Again, all great choices! I went with Close Encounters. I'm so hoping it wins this time around.

Troy

@Rob Squad Movie Reactions, "Hey!..you two, just a suggestion, ya`ll may want too do another `underdog poll' or a `cheesy poll' for the movie I so want you both too see & that`s, Berry Gordy`s The Last Dragon(1985). Take Care!!!"

Bridget

I voted for Fried Green Tomatoes, however, I think you would like them all. ( I have never seen Seven ).

Mary Alice

I'm voting for close encounters but I'll be happy with seven, something you should've seen during October

Karl Kraus

Seven is a mandatory watch.
