May Status Update

This is a LONG overdue update on goings on on my end.

To those that are currently around on May 2 to read this, thanks for sticking around. I'm wondering if there's some kind of metric on this site to see views per post so I can see who has been checking in regularly; many of you (currently 24 or 25 total patrons) have been around since day one. Some have left recently but usually go one or two months of subbing at a time and may be back.

Fact is, I've been a little lackadaisical this month. Maybe some of you have creative experience but when I started writing I didn't think I'd still be writing 10 years later. Kind of a trip.

Along with that comes a little bit of fatigue. A fair amount of you have gotten commissions from me before and are definitely aware of how long it can take me to turn around something, depending on how long it is. It's no different for Patreon posts although since those typically are driven by my ideas it can be a little easier to turn things.

So for those still around (and those on a break that scroll back and see this) thanks again for sticking around. And for those that might return, thanks for dropping notes on your exit survey, it definitely helps me gauge things like how active you expect me to be, or quality (or content) of my postings.

Obviously I still have my day-job to worry about and while I'm still WFH there are plenty of times i have to divert my attention.

Hoping this is a good month for everyone. I might run some kind of promotion in May or June. I'm also planning on maybe taking a week or so off work in June or July to get out of town and maybe that will give me some clarity and freedom to write without distraction.

Anyways, if you have anything to say sound off in the comments! You know I appreciate the feedback and suggestions if you have any.
