Changes to my Patreon, what would you like to see? 🎸

Hey lovelies,

Some of you might have seen me put the feelers out on my Instagram story about my Patreon a couple of weeks ago. If not, basically I was chatting about making some changes to the way I run things on here...

Since August 2019 I've been using Patreon as my outlet for my guitar lessons, posting new guitar lessons every Wednesday and uploading the tabs for every video I post to YouTube/Instagram.

Although I really enjoy teaching and making lessons, it isn't helping me to work towards my end goal. My life goal is to be a touring musician/songwriter...as you may have guessed haha!

Creating the lessons for Patreon takes a huge amount of time each month when you factor in the planning, creating the tabs/resources, filming and editing. I could be spending this time writing new songs and pushing my original music more.
At the moment I'm teaching guitar privately via Skype 4 days a week, whilst trying to keep on top of filming/editing content for YouTube and Instagram, creating the lessons and content for Patreon and trying to spend enough time songwriting for the projects I have bubbling away (more news to come on this soon). I'm just about juggling all of this how it is right now, but I'll admit it can be very exhausting!

The way I'm running things at the moment is also pretty limiting I think. Unless people are wanting to learning guitar from me, there isn't really any other reason for them to be here right now. I want that to change so more people can find something here they are interested in!

SO...

It is time to reshape and make some changes around here!

Rather than having my Patreon as a place that is exclusively for guitar lessons, the idea is to reduce the amount of lesson content and increase the amount of other benefits and content you get access to for being a member of the fam!

As this is quite a big change, I want to make sure you all feel included and get to share your input/opinions on some things that you would like to see.

Some ideas that have already been suggested are things like:

• - Patron-only giveaways
• - Receiving signed merchandise and personalised birthday/festive cards
• -  Patron-only Discord chat where we can all hang out
• - Tutorials for the covers I upload to Instagram
• - Your name in the credits of my YouTube videos
• - Instagram story shoutouts
• - Becoming friends on Facebook, being added to my "close friends" on Instagram so you can see what I do on the daily!
• Getting early access to my videos (seeing them before they go live)
• Exclusive vlogs, you would get to see the general stuff I do like receiving PR mail...signing merch, learning songs for new videos, songwriting, recording the stuff for the projects I'm working on etc!
• 1-1 zoom calls where we can hang out and chat about anything you want!

What do you think? Do you have any suggestions, do you like the sound of this new style of Patreon? I think it could be really awesome and I want things to be a bit more personal than the lessons you are getting right now!
