After two years of working non stop I think I’m deep into a burn out!

Very much so struggling to find motivation to do anything & just sleeping loaaaaads BUT, still trying my best to keep on top of everything hahaha

I really haven’t wanted to train the last month or so but I’ve forced myself to show up to the sessions. I always end up feeling better for it anyway :)

How do you guys deal with burn out? Would love some advice if you have any πŸ§Ÿβ€β™€οΈ

We have a timeshare. Resorts are perfect for refreshing your batteries. We go every few months, just for a 3 day getaway, and it's totally worth it. 🀘😎

Hi Sophie. For me, burnout happens gradually. I think that goes for a lot of people, though, which is why most of us don't spot the symptoms right away. If we could spot it early, we could release the pressure, and not let it happen. Unfortunately, most of us aren't built that way. It's easy to miss the signs that pressure has been gradually building and before you know it - we're physically and mentally exhausted. Which is why I totally get why you might be sleeping a lot. I think it's one of the body's coping mechanisms. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰ Make sure you have a good work-life balance. Do some fun things which don't involve work related stuff. Step away from all things electronic, take a holiday, try a new restaurant, see a play, meditate, go for a drive in the country, have a "date night", visit some friends or family you haven't seen in a while, etc., etc. Sometimes, a change in scenery might be just what the doctor ordered. πŸ˜€ I also like to try and block out some time, every week, to do something fun. Something which isn't work related, which makes me feel good, or which has a calming effect. For me, there's no set time period for recovery. But I do find that I eventually snap out of it, Once you do snap out of it, I would take time each week and ask yourself "how am I feeling?" If you get to a point where you're starting to feel a bit stressed, then it's time to step away before you get to that burnout stage again. I hope you feel better soon, Sophie!!! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
