Coming Up This Weekend

Okay guys, I listened to what you were all excited for as far as Abney Park Patreon releases, and I got you!

Tomorrow morning a never before released Abney Park song, and introspection, and lyrics video will go live. Its a hysterical song about the worlds worst band, called The Jynxed.

You are going to love it!

Then, Sunday morning, a new chapter of our latest audiobook The Toyshop At The End Of The World will go live. For those of you who haven't read this novel, don't expect it to stay as innocent as the first few chapters suggest. Things are about to get dark!  Hang on!

Thanks so much for being Patrons, you mean the world to us!

Books and musical sales! I am impressed.

Andrea Menzies

I’m really only happy when I’m creating, and happiest when I’m creating music. So it’s all I want to do. I actually once wrote and recorded an entire album in two weeks (because I was broke), and it’s one of my best albums, because the song’s flow so well together. I’ve often thought maybe I should set up franchise bands, where I write for talented young players. This way I could write for several bands, and write several albums a year. But the problem is the music industry, and the success of bands, has very little to do with the quality of music.

I knew you were prolific, but I'm really impressed now! I'm also amazed that you keep the quality up with each album. KISS was very prolific in the late 70s, but they jumped the shark by the end of the decade and had to reinvent themselves to get good again. About the only other band I can think of that adheres to such a relentless release schedule while keeping it solid is the German Gothic metal band Blutengel.

I’ve already written the next album. I write albums about 5 times faster then fans know what to do with, so I write an album, then twiddle my thumbs till the end of the year, when I can release another album, and not look insane.

Thanks; it's almost like you had the song ready to go, knowing that's what we'd want!
