Big changes incoming! (I'm moving!)

So first before I get into the announcement/updates, I just want to remind everyone that if you haven't joined the discord yet, you should. I post there basically constantly and you should come hang out. Great little community.

With that out of the way, announcement time. I'll be moving soon!! Before the pandemic started, I was working out of a local community lab. While that was great because it gave me access to a huge range of tools and lots of cool people to help with projects, I'd been wanting my own space for a while as my projects were taking up more and more space and resources. Then the pandemic happened.... For the year? (dear god has it been a year already?) I've been working out of my apartment. This was great in that it gave me stuff to do, but terrible in that all my living space got turned into work space. And having a biolab in your kitchen.... not ideal.

But that's finally changing. I'm currently in the process of getting a proper industrial space and a huge selection of new tools and toys to fill it with. Been saving up for a long time for this and I'm super excited that it's finally happening. And I couldn't have done it without all of your awesome support.

I'll of course share pics and stuff as the new space gets set up, and this is why I mention the discord as I regularly post project stuff there. The new tools and a proper space will unlock so many projects I've wanted to do for AGES. And best of all it'll mean I can finally get a proper store set up to sell all kinds of cool stuff, like various microbes, DNA, kits, and more.

There's a long road ahead and the next few months are going to be crazy, all while trying to get it done during a pandemic. But it's going to be a lot of fun and I can't wait to take you all along with me on this wild ride.

Some other updates while I've got you: All the bacteria in my fridge died. Don't know why, or how, but it means a ton of project stuff has to get reordered. Very shitty, but price of doing bio, these things happen. Work on spider silk continues though I'm gonna be running dark on that one for a while as there's a lot going on behind the scenes. New lab will mean mammalian projects again, so neuron thing will likely get an update finally as well as so many others.
