Jungle Base K45
Added 2016-03-06 01:35:30 +0000 UTCIt was already some time ago when I was asked to make a secret base or hideout that would be in jungle. I thought that it would be quite cool to make a base that was built in a giant tree. At first I planned on drawing a large map with multiple platforms, like an Elven or a Wookie city in the trees, but then I thought that a base in a single tree would have a better focus. I have not abandoned the original idea of a larger map, but that has to wait a bit more.
This map was actually much more demanding to do, than I had expected. There's a lot of small details and many layers of shading in the trees. Doing those took me much longer to finish that what I had planned. Still, I decided to experiment a little with colors. I included black & white version also, in case you prefer that.
I thought that this base could offer many possibilities for adventure. It could be a science station abandoned long ago after the fall of the Empire, or even a base of operations for the player characters working for the rebellion. Nevertheless, sometimes big events can start from small and insignificant places. Like this little base hidden in the trees.
