March Recap & April Plans

March Releases
Last month I published two new maps, Jungle Valley Zone and Acheron-Class mining tug deckplan. I was supposed to publish the Jungle Bio-Lab building plan also, but some accounting and tax report stuff took away some critical days from the production and the release happened after midnight and hence in April.

Spaceships and Asset Updates
Besides the maps, I published a set of spaceship tokens and worked on asset updates with a trainee.

Release post: Spaceship Tokens #01
When I started working on assets in 2020 I did not have proper standards to work with, so I decided to have all assets updated and optimized for Dungeondraft and Foundry VTT. We have now over a thousand assets (not including the color variants updated.
The spaceship tokens were really fun to make and I will be making more as soon as possible. While working on those, I noticed a gaping hole in my asset selection: vehicles. So, I'm working on that right now.

Poll Results
In March I started a few polls and here's the summary of the results:
Next prop Pack: Hard sci-fi spaceship tokens clearly won this poll and I released the first pack last month. And as said, more spaceship tokens are coming as soon as possible. I'm probably going to make some space opera-themed spaceships next, and most likely something Starfinder inspired.
Besides the spaceships alien flora, industrial/factory assets, and desert town tiles were in high demand. The desert town assets are already being worked on and more plant and industrial assets are coming soon after these.
The Next Deckplan: My plan is to make at least one deckplan per month from now on and the next one is going to be a prisoner transport ship deckplan. A close second was the space gangster luxury skiff and a nano/xenoinfested derelict ship.
I'm going to make at least the prisoner transport this month and the space gangster luxury skiff after this. For the infested ship, I'm probably going to make some new assets and make a variant version of one of my earlier maps. But, I'll revisit this after the prisoner transport and the luxury skiff.
Spaceship Backgrounds: Related to the deckplans, this poll's results were pretty much what I expected. Transparent background is something I will continue to offer and the other version is going to be with static space background.
Foundry Module Features: A clear majority seems to enjoy the current module releases with multiple variants per module and there was a significant amount of votes for maps with movable assets. This would require much more work from me and doing some work phases twice, but I will look into this.
The "scene bundles" with just basic map versions of multiple different maps had some popularity so I will keep these on my action list.
April Plans
The past two months have been slower than usual when it comes to the number of releases. I apologize for this and this month you will see more releases.
In general, I'm working towards making weekly map pack releases. I've noticed that my current workflow does not support this very well, so I'm going to try some new things to keep releases more frequent and consistent.
Upcoming Releases
In April I have already made two releases: The Jungle Bio-Lab and The Hypercorp Boardroom.

Release post: Hypercorp Boardroom
In addition to these I have plans to make the following releases:
- Building Lobby Battlemap: A generic lobby with a reception, elevators, and main entrance.
- Cellar Prison: this will be a generic level with some holding cells. This will be compatible with the Jungle Bio-Lab map.
- Tropical Landing Pad: An unfinished map inspired by the Scarif landing pad from Rogue One.
- Eco-Research Base: An underground complex inspired by the ecological research station in Dune.
- Vehicle Assets: Some cyberpunk vehicles and sci-fi speeders.
- Desert Town Assets: Buildings for making your own wretched hive of scum and villainy for your favorite space opera RPG.
And let's see if I could finally include a few spin-gravity modules for the Infinite Rocket project, that's been on hiatus now for too long already.
Besides maps, I'll be working on the asset updates to get the first Foundry VTT asset modules and new Dungeondraft Custom Asset Packs out as soon as possible.
Tier Updates
I have already switched my pledge currency from EUR back to USD and adjusted the pricing of the tiers. These changes do not have an effect on existing patrons. Only new patrons. Almost 90% of you are from the US, so I thought it would make things much simpler and I would avoid some weird tier pricing and extra currency conversion fees in the process.
In addition to this, I'm going to make some other adjustments to the tier rewards during April, but I'll inform you about these in a separate post after I have everything sorted out. There are still some moving parts I'm working on, but briefly put, I'm trying to make things more clear and more cohesive. I feel that there's too much clutter now accumulated over the years, and my goal is to clean them up a bit and add a clearer focus to them in the process.
Any changes that would have a major impact on your rewards will be rolled out on the 1st of May.
No action from you is required now, and as said, there will be a separate detailed post with a video explaining the tier updates by April 15th.

That's all for now.
Stay tuned for some vehicle assets coming out tomorrow!
