Poll: The Next Map Series

Earlier this month I asked for some environment ideas for my upcoming maps. There was a lot of good suggestions and a few of them were noticeably more popular than others. I picked the four most popular ones for this poll, but there are a few others bubbling under and I’ll keep those in mind when making some random maps.

What I have in mind is a series (or two) of maps and assets built around a combination of a certain theme and environment. I don’t have a set number of maps or a schedule for these, so this is not a monthly theme and it’s likely that there will be other maps released in addition to these map series. At least, there will be a monthly deckplan.

In this poll, please vote for your favorite theme(s) AND environment (s) by the end of the month.

Themes

Here are some examples for four different themes or genres.

Mecha

Maps scaled for mech movement, mech garages, giant mech wrecks, etc

Cyberpunk / Urban Sci-fi

Urban areas, neon lights, holographic signs, residential blocks, commercial areas, dark alleys, sewers, and maintenance tunnels.

Space Fantasy / Science Fantasy

Temples and shrines, ancient ruins, magical devices, esoteric phenomenon, dimensional rifts, etc

Space Western

Small settlements, maglev trains, outlaw hideouts, ambush sites for wasteland bandits, prospector and corporate mines and quarries, etc.

Environments

Here are some examples for the different environments.

Asteroid Belt

Asteroid mines, space stations, salvage stations, ship wrecks, pirate safe haven, hidden smuggler caches, etc.

Megabuilding / Arcology

A kilometer high self-sustained building with hundreds of levels including everything from slum-rated residential levels to state-of-the-art corporate labs, and grimy maintenance tunnels.

Waterworld / Underwater

This could be Kamino or Poseidon with floating cities, underwater outposts, and old prototype spaceships hidden at the bottom of the sea.

Biomechanical / Xeno-organic

Depending on the paired theme/genre this could be a quarantined infestation area, alien hive or temple, or a nightmarish and a hostile death-world. These could be biomechanical buildings, living spaceships, or infested labs or mines.
