Hello everyone,
Another month has passed and a new one is ahead of us. First of all, I want to thank you for your support. That is what makes all of my work possible.
I have an announcement to make and a lot of news and updates about this month's plans and some new ventures for the coming months I'm very excited about.
Here's a shortlist of things:
I'll be covering these topics more or less briefly in this post and more thoroughly in a separate post, I will post later per topic as needed. Let's start with the space fantasy stuff...
Based on the recent poll, the two main tracks for the new series will be Hypercorp Arcology and Space Fantasy combining various environments like urban locations, water worlds, asteroid belts, and others also. These series are not monthly themes, but will likely span content from a few upcoming months. Also, besides these map series, I'll be occasionally publishing maps and assets outside these themes.
I was already thinking of making a separate Patreon (or another avenue) for magitech fantasy and steampunk content, but the recent Map series poll ranked Space Fantasy pretty high as a genre so I decided to take this as one of my upcoming map series.
This series will include themes such as temples built into asteroids, gigantic petrified corpses of great ancient beings floating in space, living spaceships, cities drifting in interdimensional space, and ancient tombs in alien worlds.
There's a lot of map and asset work listed for this month, but the highest priority for this month is to finish the Dungeondraft and Foundry VTT asset pack updates and to work on some texture packs.
I'll be working mainly on these until I get them released. Hopefully, the first releases will be out later this week.
After the Dungeondraft and Foundry VTT asset updates, I have some unfinished maps I'd like to finish before moving to the new map series or deckplans.
After these, I'll be focusing on the new map series and tweaking my release model a bit.
Besides maps, there will be new assets coming up. I have a pack of 50+ prison-themed assets coming up and there will be some building-scale debris, junk piles, and such assets coming soon as well.
After these, I'll be working on some space opera spaceship tokens/tiles and probably some space fantasy assets I have already drafted.
With upcoming releases, I'll be focusing more on a variety of unique maps instead of a large number of variants per map. Variants are not always very time-consuming themselves, but they create extra work with further steps in my process.
It's likely that I will still make some maps with more variants, but I'm going to test making maps with fewer variants around the above-mentioned map series. It's likely that these series will be grouped together into Foundry VTT modules, where it's then easy to add more props and adjust the lighting, or weather effects, as needed. But, let's see where this all will lead.
I’ve been in talks with Kelfecil from Kelfecil's Tales and we are going to collaborate on some upcoming sci-fi and cyberpunk-themed adventures.
More about this collaboration later, but you can read the introductions of Kelfecil and Dusky Cat below.

It looks like it's going to be a busy month, but I'm super-excited about the direction things are taking. New releases coming later this week and I'll post updates as things start to clear out with the new release model and the collaboration.
Cheers!
