Hi everyone,

The Resurrection Lab map was a sort of experiment in making battle maps for boss fights or other such scenes. We call these maps "arena maps," as they often have a single large (often open) space where things happen.

With this map, we decided to spice things up by adding a maze-like set of server racks and data banks to make things more interesting. At the bottom of the map, there are two access or exit points, and at the top of the map, there is a control station that can be used as a point of interest (in addition to the control room at the bottom part of the map). Perhaps the group needs to be split, and simultaneous actions must be taken at both points.

You'll undoubtedly see more Arena Maps from us in the near future, and I'll set up a poll before the end of the month so you can vote for some of your favorite ideas.

Thank you for your support!

This map features a hall full of computer servers and data archives, and a few control stations. The winding corridors and labyrinthine server hall provide a great setting for a boss fight or an infiltration and data extraction mission.

Comments

I've been trying to build boss battles into my encounters or maps for a while. Something that forces the party to split up and gives the techies something to do while the fighters do their own thing. Great job :)
