Spaceship Poll + Quick Update

Hi everyone,

As the Luminary-class Explorer deckplan is pretty much done, it's time to start looking at August's theme, The Vagabond Fleet.

This theme is about small spaceship deckplans, and for that, we need your input.

Below, I've listed many different ship types, concepts, and conditions. Well... I included a few wild cards there for extra variety :)

Vote for all that you find interesting by the 14th of August, and we'll pick the 4-5 most popular options as we go and make deckplans for those.

About Upcoming Themes

During the past two themes, we made some observations. While the themes have their upsides, there are some downsides too. It's convenient to have a set of compatible maps, but on the other hand, it keeps us fixed on certain kinds of maps or environments for the whole time. This is not very flexible and does not provide as much variety with the releases. Also, I have found this way of working less interactive. I like getting ideas and feedback from you, and the current way of working with themes does not really support this.

This said, we've decided to make the themes looser frameworks that we work on for a while, and once we have enough maps for the said theme, we call it done.

At the same time, we will make other maps giving us a creative outlet and a more agile way of working in general.

Final Days of July

I'm spending my weekend at Ropecon, the largest Nordic tabletop RPG convention, so I'm unavailable during those days. We will prep the ATV deckplan and two industrial encounter maps on Monday.

Early August

Unfortunately, Foundry module updates are delayed because of the office move and will take place in early August.

Additionally, there will be announcements regarding new Patreon features, streamlined commercial use guidelines, and a peek into the rest of Miska's Maps year.
