Watching this back a year later is wild. I got accepted into nursing school and I start in two weeks. Self doubt has turned into excitement for the future and knowing that I am capable :) Thanks again for the advice Arin!

I have ZERO things to talk about with any family members, so I just don't go anymore. Fuck 'em. Blood is thicker than water? To hell with that. We're all just people. Hang with people you like, and if you don't mesh with certain people, cut them out of your life. I haven't seen any blood relatives aside from my dad in 12+ years, and my dad I cut out last year. I'm so much happier only interacting with people that I CHOOSE to be in my life.

2023-02-09 10:53:20 +0000 UTCJust a little note: I’m not a nurse, but have worked in technical, therapeutic, and research aspects of healthcare (pediatric sleep medicine) for 20 years, mom was a nurse for 42 years. Healthcare is HARD- especially post-pandemic and in a rough healthcare system like the US. But we need people like you who are determined, believe in themselves, and are compassionate to care for people in pain and with illnesses. Good nurses are worth their weight in gold. You can absolutely do this. ❤️❤️
