Rowen, the Human Spellblade

Rowen’s mask and pauldrons were custom made by their brother, Rodric. He gave it to them as a prize after finally besting him in a duel. Three days after that, Rodric disappeared.

Rodric was the leader of the Red Hunt: a small guild so skilled at slaying rift monsters they often made sport of it. Under Rodric’s leadership, the scarlet-clad rifters of the Red Hunt were as known for their upright honor as they were for their fighting prowess.

But after Rodric disappeared, a man named Olivo took over, and the guild fell to darker tendencies. What started as demands for protection money from people gradually devolved into plain banditry. So too did the members of the guild change as dissenters were removed—some violently.

Rowen fought their way out, and began traveling the Riftwild looking for Rodric, all while proudly wearing the Red Hunt-colored gear as they helped people. Two of those people (and a goat) whom Rowen saved from a herd of angry torossos would invite Rowen to travel with them, and the newly formed party soon stumbled upon a fast-talking halfling called Burns.
