Patreon's New Fee Structure
Added 2017-12-08 22:08:33 +0000 UTCHello, all! I wanted to go ahead and make a post regarding Patreon's new fee structure, which is causing a lot of controversy among creators and patrons alike.
For anybody that doesn't know, the TL;DR version is that Patreon has announced starting on Dec 18th they will be shifting the processing fee from creators to patrons. This is not something that we creators have any choice in, and it is essentially raising the cost of what you pledge.
I understand if anybody needs to cancel their pledge, whether because it is now beyond their budget or because they wish to send a message to Patreon. I only ask that you also send feedback to Patreon in the hopes that these cancelled pledges do not go unnoticed, as it is negatively impacting so many creators.
I just want to say thank you to all of my patrons, whether you can stay or not in light of these changes. Every little bit helps and you guys are greatly appreciated!

2017-12-13 22:02:51 +0000 UTCI will cancel my pledge in protest to Patreon's new fee structure. If they change it back or finds a better solution I will be happy to pledge again. Meanwhile I would rather save up some money and support you by purchasing more products from your Sugar Bunny Shop.

I also spent a day summarizing my thoughts on the matter, that ended up being a 3.5k+ words open letter to Patreon.
