Added 2025-07-02 00:34:52 +0000 UTCOriginally made during the Exuvium writing period, Dan (AWAY) heard this scratch track during one of our hangouts and asked me to send it to him. When he sent me back his initial work I knew we needed to release it as a collab.
The initial drop was a bit iffy to me, but thankfully Dan doesn't seem to get psyched out about anything. I love working with him because he's one of the few people I know that I can say "It's not good enough. Make it incredible. Blow me away." to and he will just immediately one up himself.
So I did just that. It took a few weeks, but I remember being up in this snowy cabin in the mountains when he got the next draft ready. I somehow got cell service up there and download the new draft, and a gigantic grin stretched across my face as I listened to it.
God I love that feeling. Yes. This. This is it.

I LOVE this. It’s a little stranger and more dissonant than the final version. Reminds me of being in a cavern for some reason
