I've been thinking more about Elias' sisters lately. I imagine the oldest one started to rebel very early against their parents and moved out at 17, maybe to live with her older S/O. The parents didn‘t object (they were probably relieved to have her out of the house) but their relationship remains very strained. However, she's very protective of her younger siblings, especially Elias (maybe she has a hunch about something?).

Ever since the oldest sister left and became a failure in the parents' eyes, there's been more pressure on Elias to meet their expectations.

Elias loves his older sister, but sometimes, when things get especially tough, he can't help but feel betrayed by her leaving him and his younger sisters all alone.
