Modern food science is about as much alchemy and magic as it is actual scientific labor. It wasn’t always this way and I can’t really say I prefer it to the old tried and true methods of messing with fungi and hoping it didn’t kill you. That said, one little niche that I’ve found myself quite fond of is the enhanced hot sauce scene. There’s been a lot of breakthroughs in formulating even hotter sauces or different stings to their bite and I have found that quite fascinating. I was so fascinated that I decided to construct my own.

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Ahh, the silly things our brains come up with when we ideate together. Fernando is a human heavily influenced by the media he enjoys and once such piece of media is all about eating hot sauce and talking. It’s a silly little show, but it’s quite entertaining. Either way, he pitched me the idea of doing a magic item based off of it and there was no way I could say no to something so compelling.
The first ability on both of the versions was all about being able to get what you want out of an individual. There’s several ways to get information, but I thought the idea of spiking food with it would be entertaining. That or if you could convince them to willingly eat it through a bet or something of that nature. I think the uses here could be vast. Can you talk your way into being a nobleman’s chef and thing spring this on them? Well that will be up to your players.
The second ability is something more that I’ve wanted within the game for a bit. A method of quick defence that is just meant to cause quickly solved problems, but allows you to get away in a pinch. I think little niches like that are some of the most historically underserved and was something that I wanted to sort.
