Greetings adventurers!

The ever ticking passage of time is a comfort to some, the surety of the next second arriving gives them a sense of permanence and certainty. For some, the passage of time represents a clock ticking down on their efforts and they fight against it, seeking to wrestle from its jaws as much as they can get before they inevitably meet their grave. For myself, I like to take things in equal measure. Keep up my purpose and pursue my goals while also remembering that rest and relaxation can be its own form of progress. After all, if you’re stuck trying to use every moment, you’ll inevitably be disappointed when you miss one.

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

If that strikes your fancy, consider becoming a Patron

Design notes from Matthew:

Time is always a difficult one to play around with, I've found. There’s something inherently hard to balance when you’re doing things that mess with the flow of time in any TTRPG. You have to be really careful with what you allow and what you don’t and I’ve found that it’s one of the harder themes to design in. That’s fine by me though as I enjoy a challenge around balancing. It’s difficult to know the full impacts when you make something that manipulates time, but I always recommend erring on the side of caution.

In the 5E version, I wanted to offer the option to get more of something less powerful or less of something more powerful. I think this fits thematically with the choice of how to spend your time. You either take many smaller projects or one larger one. That kind of choice carries over to the item where you have to pick one more powerful “get out of jail free” card or many less powerful bonuses to possibly have an impact.

On the PF2E version, it’s less about the choice and more about thoughtful application. You have to use the free action first which means you’re essentially gambling on your next roll being a successful one. This could be really useful though for something like an investigator who would know what their next roll is going to be. You could then more thoughtfully apply your bonus to make sure that you hit in the end. Always having a push and pull of choices makes for more interesting combat.

One of our patrons had asked us to make some more time themed items so that’s what we’re doing as we can. That said, we always welcome suggestions so please feel free to drop us a comment here or on Discord and tell us what you want to see us make. It can be vague or precise. We try to make what our supporters want in their games so make sure to let us know!

We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
