Augur Book 3 Ch 5

I'll probably wind up doing some rewrites on this and other early chapters as I get deeper into the book, and that may include spreading some of this information out a little more, but in the meantime this is largely a lore-dump about a topic that was introduced in the very first chapter of Augur, but which never got much of a spotlight: Gifted.
I'm also starting to build up a picture of one of the antagonists of the book. Compared to the Godtouched introduced in the first chapter, the bogeyman isn't much of a personal threat, but he gets to have a little more depth and nuance as well as complicating things for the rest of the book with his presence. It'll take most of the book to learn as much about him as we're going to, but this chapter starts the process of framing him as a character.
No real smut in this chapter - we'll probably have a spicy scene or two coming up soon with Aubrette and the nymphs, but the mood wasn't right for this chapter.
