*MOVIE INCLUDED* Shutter Island (2010) Movie Reaction

THIS BLEW MY MIND! This movie has one of the MOST shocking and saddest plot twists of all time. Holy crap, that plot twist truly blew my mind. Amazing movie!

Wow, I thought this movie was very well written which slowly unraveled the main character's dark, emotional past. The first half really led me to believe that the true bad guys were the psychiatrists at the asylum but it turns out that the main character was in fact, a patient himself who created his own fantasy story to escape the tragic truth about his past... it was absolutely gut-wrenching when the tragic truth was revealed and it definitely makes sense but no way, did I see that coming.

I was making theories throughout the movie and even asked if Teddy was the 67th patient which actually turned out to be true, and I was just thinking aloud lol. 

Although, regarding psychology, I just don't understand why Teddy/Andrew's wife even killed the children in the first place because if one's suicidal, then it usually leads to one's own death rather than a murder suicide...it's heartbreaking and dark to know a mother would even do that. That's so messed up. 

This honestly was the most mind-boggling movie with its twists and turns but in the end, it came to a plausible conclusion which was executed fantastically. I absolutely LOVED it.
