The Deadbeat - drunken halfling wild sorcerer
Added 2021-09-13 18:43:47 +0000 UTCLadies and gentlemen, I present to you - Deadbeat. If the term halfling trash was a thing then this dude would be the wiki picture of it. The wild magic sorcerer is one of the oddball classes in DnD 5e and it is all because its main class feature is something that is solely in the control of the dm. I believe this is one of the cases where we can homebrew the deadbeat to always be rolling on the wild surge table as long as they are drunk when casting a spell that could trigger it.
In my book, drunk means that you have the poisoned condition AND also have a minimum of two exhaustion levels that only go away after you have sobbered up. If you want to make things even grittier, why not throw an incrementally increasing DC Wisdom saving throw to stay away from the urge of consuming alcohol to keep yourself drunk?
On the bright side, being a 35 pound halfling means that you probably wont have to spend a fortune on alcohol to keep yourself cranked up to eleven.

Hi there, The scholar tier welcome package is a legacy remnant. It essentially included only a fraction of the full welcome package for a tier that is no longer available. I guess I should go ahead and delete that post because it is understandably confusing :)
