Patreon Update! (We Hit Our GOAL!)

We've done it! Between Patreon and Subscribestar we've now crossed $2,000 per month! The podcast will be returning to a weekly schedule! Just giving some general updates on what that will look like. Feel free to ask any questions you have below!

Hi, Pau! Thank you for supporting the channel! It means the world to us. For Xenogears, we'll be playing pretty short chunks each week, so hopefully, it won't be too difficult to keep up with us. Something like 5 hours of the game will be covered each week.

Just joined Patron! I love this format and I want to try and keep up with the pace jeje Please by gentle with us, I cannot game that much but I'd love to be up to date and play along with you!

So excited for you, I just joined (finally able to contribute $), wish you much more success, can't wait to play through Xenogears with you all. Loved this in depth series.

This is super exciting! You guys deserve this and more. Can’t wait to see what you guys have in store next, especially with Xenogears coming up!

Awesome!

Yes, as Leonardo said, we're combining Patreon and Subscribestar income to reach the $2000.

Resonant Arc

The reason why it's below 2000 here is because they hit the goal with patreon + subscribestar

I'm seeing it's under $2000, did people leave as soon as you reached your goal or you're still over your goal by counting other financial support platforms? I can't wait for Xenogears (if it wins), it's my favorite game so I'm hoping it will be a weekly podcast, but either way I'm existed to listen to what you have to say. It's going to be interesting from Casen point of view as a first time player.

Very good question! We'll save this one for next month's exclusive podcast!

Your content is so good and I can feel the passion that you put in making your content! I am glad that you can do this weekly!

Question: It's often the case that horror fiction best thrives on subtlety--the less you show the threat/monster (or the less you explain about it), the scarier it becomes, since nothing can beat the unlimited reaches of human imagination. This leads me to wonder however, if horror can only TRULY work in short, small-scale stories wherein the threat doesn't have to be explained, and if any horror work looking to span a long story or series is doomed to lose its fear factor as the audience becomes increasingly familiarized with it? Is it even WORTH the artist's time and effort to create mysterious horror entities (e.g., Alien, Terminator, Sephiroth) when--if the work becomes successful--the publisher is almost certainly going to build a franchise out of it and gradually ruin all of the horror-mystery which the author had initially sought so hard to create? Is the term "horror icon" itself inherently oxymoronic? I ask this because I recently played Alien: Isolation and it was by far one of the most intense gaming experiences I've ever had, which surprised me given the fact that we already know what a Xenomorph is and what it does.

Woot! INCREDIBLE! You guys do amazing work every week - so excited to hear more from you :D

Cool! I found your FFVIII videos and after watching one and seeing the length, I immediately thought, "These guys need mo' money."

Definitely a well-earned achievement. Congratulations. Looking forward to the extra weekly content.

Very happy for both of you! Looking forward to the extra content. Don't kill yourself doing it, though. :)

Congratulations!!
