July 2024 Update

Yikes, how is is the last day of July already? And also, why am I writing the July Update on the last day in July?! My sincere apologies. Summer has been pretty crazy for me, and between vacation travel and the camp pick up and drop off (not to mention just having kids around more), it's been tough to squeeze time in for any writing.

But I did want to offer a few updates on projects that you're probably wondering about.

First, In Too Deep, Book 3

For those on the free tier, you may not be aware that I've published the first two books of a new series that follows Amanda and David. Amanda is an undercover agent in a strip club, and David is her husband. Lot of drama here, lot of strong feelings for these characters! I knew that there would be, and I love the conversations and commentary and speculation that this has brought up, but it's also sometimes taxing!

Initially (before I started posting here on Patreon), the story actually ended after book 2. But I felt it was quite inadequate, plus, we never got to the fun stuff that comes with these thrillers: the twists, the action, the resolution. So I wrote a bunch of a book 3 as I started publishing the first two. By the end of publishing, though, I realized that I didn't like what I'd done, so I've largely scrapped it and gone back to the drawing (writing?) board.

The break from these characters has been a good one, though. I'm already three shiny chapters in, I think I can salvage a few more from the end, and now it's just a matter of connecting all the loose threads and posting. The plan is still to get that out in August.

The Limo Driver and His Wife

This is the series that I'm currently publishing. It's a shorter story, closer to novella length, and has two more parts as of this update (it's a total of five parts). This one is your classic "celebrity sex list" story, with my own twist on it. It's been a breath of fresh air after the heavier themes and interactions of In Too Deep. Less drama, more fun, but also not quite as deep.

For those not on the paid tier of Patreon, though, don't worry. This will go out on Medium some time in August, and also Amazon and Smashwords and B&N, or wherever you buy your books.

EDIT! Castaway Wife

Totally forgot about Castaway Wife. This is in the editing process now and will go out in August. Promise.

As some of you know, we brought this anthology series of short stories back. The first volume is out now, and the second volume is scheduled to come out by the end of the year. We're still discussing the unifying theme, but I'll make sure to let you know once we've coalesced on something.

What's Next?

Once In Too Deep is done, what comes next? Probably something a little lighter and more fun. I've mentioned it before, but it's a "mature hotwife" origin story. I've completed the first part, but am holding off on the second once I get some feedback from this gang. That should be a fun one. I wanted to share a cover, but haven't had time to work on that (see intro paragraph above).
