we honestly love to see it

The Normies

this is one of my favorite revenge episodes they do, dee can be so diabolical lmfaooo

The pacing of this episode is a bit off but it’s all worth it for the payoff. Also best moment of the episode is Mac, who has just recently come out to the gang, flashing the guys a thumbs up when he’s getting danced on by Mike

This episode is a mixed bag. The Frank&Mac parts aren't great, except for the Vet support group. The Dennis&Charlie strip act is all-time great (that song choice omg). Dee's revenge is probably the best twist of any episode. This episode marks the end of quality Sunny imo, at least for a few seasons. There are still some top notch episodes coming up in season 13 and 14 and even the dullest episodes have great moments, but they are the exception rather than the norm. The show has started to get pretty good again with season 16 and even more so in the latest season 17.

You sure about this? Always Sunny has always been on FX (although reruns did air on Comedy Central) and Scott Tennerman must die came out literally 16 years before this episode. The part about Old Boy though I had thought before was maybe related, it's a pretty big stretch though considering the content of this episode being pretty fucking tame compared to Old Boy and the gang have no qualms about pushing content to there limit.

#SundayRundown Two points referenced in your discussion: On Comedy Central "Scott Tenorman Must Die" was on right before this ep aired! And Glenn Howerton hardcore loves South Korean movies so there's some chance this ep was partly inspired by Oldboy. I loved how this is surprisingly cohesive for one of their most messed-up ending shenanigans too, with all three storylines having throughline about father-child on some levels, which really makes that ending hit even more (Mac-Frank: the father-child pair they kill in video game and Mac dreaming of his dad / Dennis-Charlie: their whole stripper gimmick, with their talk about father-daughter outsides a client house almost foreshadowing the ending / Dee-Mike: y'know). Last note: I'm sooo glad you guys aren't tipped off like I did with Dee's backstage talk to Mike ("I'm gonna reunite you with your daughter"), because it makes your reactions to that moment of "Dad!?" impact an all-timer.

I had completely forgotten this episode. The Charlie, Frank, Dennis, and Mac storylines were kinda flat. Only after seeing Dee’s final twist did I realize she doesn’t know how to help anyone so she just gave up and did what she does best and break him like she did Cricket.
