Omg now you said that I can totally hear it ahaha I couldn’t figure out why her voice was so familiar 😂 use to love the Rugrats

IcedQuokka

Phoebe singing Storylines again making me yawn, still dont care for Smelly Cat. Her former partner voices Tommy Pickles from rugrats and I can never get that voice out of my head when i watch that episode

Sean Carroll

Not sure if you have seen the next few episodes but oh boy its going to be nuts

Sean Carroll

Team Ross here lol 😂 I honestly believe in a relationship there should be balance, compromise, there should be respect, I believe there's certain things in a relationship that should and shouldn't happen out of respect for your partner out of respect for the relationship, and that's all I'll say until a few more episodes lol

Eh. It’s like paying bills for me. You know it’s out there and eventually you’ll have to do it, but I need as much time as I can to pretend that it doesn’t exist and I don’t have to do it. Lol Most books I can just read through, but when you know the ending is sad and it’s one of your faves, well, you just need to pretend that that ending doesn’t exist for awhile. Lol

Yeah monica had been through it poor girl 😭 yes I think ross and Rachel are definitely opposites! They somehow work well but also clash so hard 💀

IcedQuokka

Awww bless!! That’s sweet 😂 usually for me I just completely quit the series if I don’t want it to be over, I think like majority of series I’ve read I quit like half way through the last book or just before the last book 💀 not my proudest trait I’ll say

IcedQuokka

Ooooooo ok good!! I’m excited to watch it

IcedQuokka

Youre so right! That’s a great way of saying it, he’s just been hurt so badly by carol it’s affecting his new relationship so much 😭

IcedQuokka

I definitely feel bad for Monica. She's my favorite character, but she's also sort of an emotional punching bag. Her luck with men is not great. Ross and Rachel are an odd pair because they seem so different in what they like and what they do. It sort of is an opposites attract kind of thing. Joey is hilarious in these two. His reaction to Little Women and his story about Ginger and the Cabin are laugh out loud funny.

Chris

Joey putting Little Women in the freezer because it’s making him sad is so relatable. I used to hold off reading the last chapter of my favorite books because they would make me emotional once they ended. Sometimes it’d be months before u thought I was mentally okay enough to put myself through purposeful sadness. Lol

FYI The Shining movie is very different from the book so don't worry too much about spoilers

It's quite clear at the beginning how much Ross sabotaged his own relationship, but I can understand that this came a lot from his relationship with Carol. In the flashbacks, it's clear that he saw Susan and Carol's relationship as very positive for her, and the fact that she had activities to do away from him represented a form of individual pleasure for Carol that he believed was necessary. After the betrayal, it seems that he no longer sees this part of Rachel's individuality as he should, for fear that if she goes off on something that doesn't directly involve him, he might be betrayed again, which rationally doesn't make sense, but is a more than understandable reason to feed insecurity. And I totally agree with you, if there's anyone that the writers should invest in developing, it would be Ross.

Beatriz Rodrigues

yesss i agree! you can always tell when they just add one in to fill the quota and they always have the worst story line 😭 I do enjoy watching carol and susans storyline i feel like its unique even by todays standards

IcedQuokka

It's interesting, this show had a lesbian married couple raising a little boy, things that were pretty unique for a show in the mid 90's (remember this was before shows like "Will and Grace", "Queer as Folk", and "Six Feet Under") but yet people today still think it's not enough. The ironic part is that today shows have queer characters just as a way to shoehorn in "diversity" and they're usually poorly written and bland characters, meanwhile back then the characters were actually meaningful and memorable, even though there were technically less of them. It wasn't about filling a quota back then, it was about making a meaningful impact. Today it all seems like forced inclusion. Quality over quantity, folks.
