The Delta Familiar evolution represents a significant milestone in the bond between a mage and their familiar. Unlike the Omega evolution which requires an expensive and complex ritual or the progression of an Alpha evolution which typically requires the magic caster to be a druid, the Delta evolution occurs naturally.
The Delta evolution occurs after the mage and familiar have been connected for a significant period, typically around five months to one year. During this time, their bond has grown stronger through shared experiences, trust, and the continuous exchange of magical energies.
The Delta evolution slightly deepens the existing bond between the magic caster and their familiar. It enhances the connection on both a physical and metaphysical level, fostering a synchronization of magical energies between the two.
One notable aspect of the Delta evolution is the heightened resilience of the bond. The connection becomes more resilient to external magical forces that could potentially sever or disrupt the link between them.
Upon undergoing the Delta evolution, familiars experience a moderate increase in their lifespan. While the exact extension varies from familiar to familiar, it generally grants them a few additional years of life.
