Playing Dead Rising 4: to be Frank, it is Terrible

I am very proud of that pun in the title and I have little right to be, but in the interviews about Dead Rising 4 they're very proud of that and have even less of a right to be, so who's the real monster? (it's Frank)

This video was not supposed to be this long, when I sat down after finishing it I knew it to be a far more shallow game, I expected to have a forty minute video much like Dead Rising 3. Turns out, since this game is a send up to Dead Rising 1, it's hard not to think about what isn't there, what doesn't line up to the original, and the intense dislike the games gameplay and attitude gave me ended up leading to an hour over my estimate. Hope you enjoy, hope I'm coherent.

another great video my question for the afterthought video is this who would win in a fight dead rising 1 frank or dead rising 4 frank and also do you think theirs a way for dead rising to get its act together and come back from this game

(Posting the afterthought questions here, hopefully you see it, if not I'll post it on the afterthought announcement just to be sure.) I think this is probably the biggest "Fuck you" to any Dead Rising fan out there. I think what gets me the most is that during the interviews, they promise Frank to be "funnier" and "wiser", and that's not there at all. Frank wasn't ever really "funny", he was an average Joe looking for the big scoop, not a wisecrack to every single fucking thing. I feel like they took from Off the Record where he was more laid back and made funny quips (like Chuck), and it's horrid. It's like it was written by people who have never written a story before. There are moments where he shows moments of having experience, but those are few and far between. This beckons the question; how the fuck did this happen and why did Capcom let people who had never worked on a Dead Rising game before? It's kinda sad. So here's the questions. 1.) Watch_Dogs 1, Ride to Hell: Retribution, Postal 3, or Dead Rising 4? Which is the worst? 2.) Suppose you could lead a development team to release Dead Rising 4 yourself. You have access to any writing team you'll need, and a pretty talented dev team. What direction would you have taken it, and what direction could have been taken to save this pile of garbage? 3.) I haven't at all heard about the soundtrack. We don't get the same things we got like with Dead Rising 1 and 2 with memorable boss fight tracks. Are any of them at all memorable, or are they just generic "epic tracks" to leave a sense of "something is going on"? 4.) Watching this, I feel like the graphics are worse than Dead Rising 3. Is that just your PC running at low settings, or is the game THAT shitty looking? 5.) Last question, I swear. At what point did the game break you, or the point of which that it was apparent that this game was garbage, and that there was no way it could save itself? Side note: The joke about "Hank East" was used in Saint's Row the Third in the "Whored Mode" of the game. It's a level title for it. So this game is that unoriginal it has to take "jokes" from other games to try and add some sort of humor value to it. End all; this is as bad as Anthony Burch's writing. Made by hack frauds who thought they could make a fun game by appealing to the lowest common denominator, and ended up failing horribly at it. This is what happens when you stray away from the formula too much, and it also happens when you run out of ideas. Seriously, the "power armor" shit was so immersion breaking, I find it kind of insulting. This whole game is a fucking insult to a Dead Rising fan, actually.
