Does anyone else feel like Tina stopped lip syncing on purpose? When I was watching it, it felt like she took Anne’s advice and made it like a “character choice” (?) to stop lip syncing in order to set up this dramatic death scene. I could have sworn she looked right into the camera. So when the judges read her for it, she realized it was actually a bad choice and pretended she had no idea what they were talking about. I hope that makes sense 🤣

Question: I didn’t understand what Rose’s character was supposed to be. Was she just being a social media user? Can’t believe this totally went over my head I am embarrassed.

I completely gave up on season 13 after binge watching Canada and loving UK2 . I’ll only be following 13 through SRP from now on . Bob and Monet are the only ones spilling and chatting about what I cared about anyway, so why watch the show when I can watch them !

I said the same thing! The aesthetic of drag is like at its highest peak in the series but it’s like... because of that ideas are starting to get lowkey repetitive. It is getting a little old.

To add to the "there are so many looks that are the same", does anyone else remember that Denali did a crash dummy look for the runway challenge ep3? There are so many repeat outfits I'm growing tired of it.

I have trouble calling this lip sync a “double shantay” for exactly what Bob said at the end. Kandy was gone. She didn’t turn the lip sync to the point that you couldn’t eliminate her or Symone. This was a straight up editorial move by Ru, which is fine in my book. Her name is on the show. I just wouldn’t call this a double shantay in the traditional sense of two queens just turn it the fuck out and save their asses.

But when she totally stopped lipsyncing it was like huge alarm bells going off for me. ERROR ERROR and it's the last thing the judges saw. It matters what you did last, that's the impression you leave with the judges, so how is that bad judging? Plus I didn't think her outfit in the Rusical was that great either. Not saying that I disagree, but Ru also played favorites with fan faves like Gigi who clearly should’ve lipsync during the presidential debate challenge but didn’t. If she would’ve lipsynced, she would’ve lost between Jan or Widow, and Ru would’ve saved her because she was clearly favored for the crown. I’m not saying it wasn’t deserved (it’s Ru’s show at the end of the day), but you have to admit to favoritism that doesn’t just benefit “big personality” queens but fan favorites, too. Derrick (this is debatable) and Courtney Act are another example of queens that clearly should’ve been in the bottom at some point before but weren’t.

Completely agree with you about the yellow gene and little black dress runways!! The latter being one of the worst. If the themes are running low (which I feel is quite impossible), just repeat some of the themes from earlier seasons (like one or two per season). This is gonna turn into the Crayola box runway. 🤦🏾‍♀️

By a production stand point this really makes sense. They usually have some episodes "approved" by the network, they probably received idk like 4 episodes more that year and shortened S8 so AS2 could have some more episodes. The reason season 13 is bigger (and AS6 will be too) is because they had 4 celebrity drag race episodes to film but couldn't because of covid, so S13 got 2 more episodes and AS6 too. This is all speculation btw.

As soon as I saw Rosé’s costume on the runway I turned to my partner and said “that’s orange!” And when he disagreed. It wasn’t until Michele said the same thing I got vindication. That costume was ORANGE!

I was all for Utica being in the top!! Then the runway happened haha I was worried for her as i thought she was getting coverage sticking to her guns because she was gonna flop, especially when we'd seen the rehearsal. But she looked great and nailed the lip sync, i really thought we were gonna get a win from Utica and a Jan face crack from Rose...they were my thoughts BEFORE the runway though!

Maybe it's a UK thing but Oh-gle is more common here, although many depending on the accent will use Og-gle, never oo-gle though.

I thought Elliott was good in the challenge. It was a nice tempo change to the rest and i liked her section. I really like Utica and think she is IT for design but that dress WAS NOT IT. I thought she was great in the Rusical, nailed the lipsync and looked great. For me, the bottom two were clear and Kandy should have gone home. Other than those two being in the bottom for sure, i thought the tops were interchangeable with the rest.

My issue with the "double save" was that Kandi wasn't saved. Ru decided that, after telling her to go, she hadn't seen enough and wanted her to stay. Surely we hadn't seen enough of the other Queens that had left. As soon as Ru called her name as she was walking off the stage I knew what was coming and even said out loud "Don't you f*****g dare!"

Ok my thoughts on this episode have been quite interesting. I genuinely liked this Rusical. Rusicals have been making a comeback since season 12, I normally don’t live for them. Tina did a great f*cking job. Honestly, the judges putting her in the “bottom” gave me Shuga Cain PTSD. I enjoyed Elliott’s performance. If I were Kandy, ofc I would’ve worn a different wig & probably incorporated a sexy tear away under her outfit as an interesting pun. To me Rosé's dress was yellow, it was just a darker and warmer tone than most of the other queens so next to them it looked kinda orange. Also, I am living for Kandy, I am so glad that she didn't go home yet, can't wait to see more of her on TV. I was genuinely shocked by Tina being in the bottom this week. My top three for this challenge were easily Rose, Denali, and her. When they announced that group of queens were the top and bottom performers of the week I literally just assumed they were going to cheat the top 3 into a top 4 by having Denali & Mik's Russian bot duo count as one spot. I hated how the judges did Tina Burner dirty this episode, but what I hate more is how the fans are sleeping/hating on her. She has the least number of followers on Instagram. I get Insta is a visual medium and her looks aren’t everyone’s thing and I don’t know how her follower count compares on Twitter. But as someone who has been waiting for Tina to be on Drag Race for years so she can get the worldwide love she deserves, it makes me sad.

I feel that Tina was in the bottom for tv production storyline stuff. The bottom two were so obviously Kandy and Symone, I think they just need a third. I thought it might have been Elliott, but her performance was good, and I think she was safe because the lighting for that section didn't work. Do other Rusicals have this kind of vague plotline that this one did? This one fully had an opening number, that 11 o'clock party, and a finale. I thought it worked.
