Alolan Ninetales~

For the research on Alolan Ninetales, we had to take a different means of approach. We wouldn't be so lucky as we were with its pre-evolution, finding them outside of their natural habitat. Alolan Ninetales are debatably even more secluded than their flame-based counterpart, preferring solitary life atop snow-capped mountains. We gathered as much information as we could, word of mouth from travellers and locals, tracks and territory markings, until we could guarantee that we had their area narrowed down. From there, it was a matter of interacting one at a time. The researchers sent were each given a panic button with GPS built in, and our response time if anything went wrong was well under five minutes. That, and a diet of aspear berries beforehand to help stave off the cold, made the isolation that much safer. Still, it was as nerve-racking as can be without any practice. Luckily, no one had to use their panic buttons, and data began coming in, one interaction at a time. The first few were simply "lost traveller guided home", but the first to get lucky was a male researcher who went dark for a few days. The report that came in described a slow seduction. A wary fox that took a slow, long look at him, and instead of guiding him to the base of the mountain, guided him to her den. With the warmth of the cave giving him comfort, tails wrapped around his body, encouraging him to just sit down, and let his savior do all of the work. A similar case came in from a female researcher later, who was "saved" by a male specimen. A bit more eager in her approach, as soon as the tails began tugging at her clothes, she stripped down, and presented herself "properly." After two to three days of fun, the Ninetales tend to return to their solitude, guiding their human partners back to safety.
