Oddish was by far a relief after the time we had spent with bloodthirsty bats in a dark cave. The transition from wearing complicated equipment for feeding a bat while mating with it to simply searching for particularly glossy bundles of leaves had our Kanto research team relieved. That being said, with a lack of newfound complications, Oddish did have the unique trait of being one of the first Pokemon that are almost entirely plant-like. Granted, Bulbasaur was at the very beginning of our journey, but Oddish is built, at least in a reproductive sense, entirely based off of its grass type anatomy. For trainers and breeders who intend on effectively mating their Oddish, it's recommended to do so during the night. While not necessarily nocturnal, Oddish greatly prefer preserving and soaking in as much energy as possible during sunny hours, and usually won't be as responsive as a result. It is also recommended to seek out Oddish who have a lot of energy stored, or have a noticeable shine to their skin. Its phallus is reported to feel like there are small roots and tendrils extending from not just the tip, but in many cases, along the entire shaft as well. A similar case exists for the female's insides, being a receptive receiver for those bundles of nerve-like extensions. Our female researchers report those tendrils even being able to slip past their cervix to attempt to directly impregnate their womb, and luckily, they are small enough that attempting to do so does no harm. Unlike some Pokemon on record of actually having tentacles, these are reported to burrow in a way similar to roots, rather than freely acting limbs. On the opposite side, male researchers reported the insides of an Oddish being spongey, eager to soak up as many fluids as possible, while the all too eager plant works to earn a full stomach. Word of advice, it is best to give them a proper watering afterwards, regardless of gender. They can and will overexert themselves to please a trainer they love.
