Axu2 Development Snippet: I Made a Flowchart... (Explanation Below!)

This one's gonna take some explaining, so lemme start with the most important info that you will actually find helpful when playing the coming update. One of the new Caretakers quests involves gaslighting Riley using burps (it makes slightly more sense in context.) When given this quest, Claire has the option to refuse. If she refuses, then either Lani or Ashley will take her place for the quest's duration. I fully recognize that I'm 'doing it to myself' by hiding entire alternate scenes behind seemingly inconsequential choices, so I wanted to at least give you folks a little heads up this time.

Regarding the flowchart itself... I dunno if the quest is really that complicated or if I'm just getting smoothbrained as I age, but I found it necessary to take the time and put together this visual aid, which did help me keep things organized and get through programming the quest relatively easily. That said, the info on this flowchart isn't entirely accurate to how I ended up programming the quest. I made this chart first and stopped updating it after a point, so it's not a one-to-one guide on how to get through the quest (also you'll notice the last part is conveniently cropped out c: )

I'd also like to note that some of the boxes mention failing the quest, but I scrapped that idea since the quest isn't repeatable and I don't want people to feel punished for taking the more fun routes through it. (This is me trying to learn from the 'Nemset's Shipment' quest, more or less.) Rest assured that you cannot fail this quest, so please enjoy playing around with it when the time comes!
