Patch Day Is Upon Us

A new game patch will be released today, and we know for a fact that it will introduce a plethora of changes to gameplay, which in turn means changes to code in ways that are extremely likely to break a bunch of mods. Fear not, however, it is not like you can't do jack shit about it, in fact you can... do jack shit about it.

You got three options. Two of them are great, one is horrible.
Lets start with the horrible one first.

Option 1)
You don't do anything at all. Download the patch, enable all your Mods and keep playing with the extreme likelihood of your game not even loading (because of your UI mods), all doors having vanished (because of your Drugs mod) and so on and so forth... I told you it was a horrible option.

Option 2)
If you are playing through the Origin client, click the Go Offline button so the game doesn't automatically update. Then you wait for your favorite Mod authors to let you know if either their mods are still safe to use or if they need updating. If they need updating then you update, if it's safe then you can keep playing with it.

Option 3)
You take all your Mods and CC out of your Mods folder, place them in a temporary folder and start up a new save game without Mods, so you don't override your Mod saves. Then you do the same waiting for Mods to be repaired game as described in Option 2.

There is no telling if a game patch will break mods or not, but with the bunch of changes they are adding this time around, the likelihood is extremely high.

Trust that I will be working my ass off to get my mods up and running again as soon as Basementally possible, first the Patreon versions, then the public ones.
