Not only have I re-designed the whole thing, but I have also made it integrate fully with Patreon. What it means is basically that you can log on to the website with your Patreon account and download the latest Patreon releases directly from the website, as well as gain access to up-to-date Patreon tutorials. It should be relatively self explanatory, but I will explain how to log in to the site in this post nonetheless.

Reactions
Don't React Towards Partners
You can now choose whether or not the reactions settings should apply to Sims partners as well as their offspring and parents.
When your Sim is active, simply toggle Reactions to Partners off to make your Sim tolerate and not react towards their partners drug habits.
Better Control of Your Teen
I know it bothered some of you that their teen Sims came home from school with a Ziplock bag of weed, or even high after hanging out with some bad influences, as it was out of your control and happening off screen. Well, good news. There is a setting for this as well now.
When your teen Sim is active, switch the Susceptible to Drugs toggle off, and your teen Sim will no longer have a chance of coming home from school high.
Instant Reactions and Crucial Bug Fix
I have received numerous feedback from you guys that sometimes parents did not react towards their teens at all, even if the teen smoked a bowl right in front of their parents.
The main part of this problem was an issue with larger households, which is fixed (without boring you with the technical details).
I also set up a new system to make sure parents and loved ones will instantly detect if a household member does certain drugs right in front of them. This does not apply to all drugs however, as the visuals of snorting a line of cocaine is very different to discretely popping a pill.
Venue List
To make sure this works you need to download the updated Basemental Drugs venue list provided in this post. I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List - This version of the Venue List includes the new Tartosa region.
Website
As I initially mentioned, the main workload this month has gone into the creation of the new website. Not only because the old website was overdue for a design upgrade, but also to have a hub where I can share all relevant mods I have made or feel like making, adult mods like the ones found here and mods suitable for all ages.
I wanted to create a website where I can have the public and Patreon mods available for direct download and all translations available, as well as backend functionality for translators to send translations to me. A website where I can give news updates regarding the mods or what I am working on and different change-logs and tutorials dependent on who is logged into the site.
Now! Bear in mind that I have tested this site on a small group of select people, and as of right now it works flawlessly with that control group. It might be a different story now that I have released it publicly, but I really hope that isn't the case.
Log In
First click this link: https://basementalcc.com - that takes you to the new website.
Then you need to log in. You do that by clicking the PREMIUM button in the top right corner.
At the login page, do not try to enter a Username or Password. Simply click the LOG IN WITH PATREON button.
That will take you to Patreon to log in and redirect you to the website. That is all there is to it. Now you will have access to the Patreon versions of the mods directly from the website as well as all the updated tutorials.
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Drugs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.*
- Download this Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Run the Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Choose which Optional Packages you want included.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package
* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Drugs folder.
Basemental Drugs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
- Download the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Unzip the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.
- Delete the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package

With the original maxis system you couldn’t have bad plants, Normal was the worst quality, whereas with the override Normal is in the middle of the progress bar. The only actual change in this override is the names of the plant quality stage, the effects are unchanged

2022-03-02 04:08:51 +0000 UTCYou shouldn't have to redo the settings every time you update. Just don't delete the Basemental Drugs folder in your Sims 4 / Saves folder, and don't overwrite your save without Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.

2022-03-02 00:59:09 +0000 UTCAutomation and drinking -- I made a Sim alcoholic. She gets the associated moodlets when she does or doesn't drink. However, despite owning a bar, she never pours herself a drink on her own. I will experiment with giving her the "globe" drink station, since my other (non-alcoholic) Sim can't get enough of that thing, but I'm wondering if I did something wrong with her settings.
