huh... I actually Agree with her. Holding it up, leashing it, is only going to make it worse... She just needs to embrace it in... well... "Constructive" way. I know it sounds silly but there are constructive ways of destruction.

It's the same thing as the gun problem in the USA, people focus on how hundreds of thousands die each year and millions get injuried... but there are only a few thousands murders and attempted murders even filed. The incredibly vast majority is accidents with a minority of suicide attempts. The current aim seems to be to control who those guns are sold to... but that's just silly. It's like trying to put all of the evils inside Pandora's box once the box is open... which... good luck... It just means more and more of that stuff will be sold or pass hands illegally. The correct approach, knowing that there are that many dangerous things around... is teaching people how they actually work. Instead of keeping it a "weird fancy magic thing that you point and click". Or worse: "a deterrent". Which... yeah. Good luck scaring people with a gun and not becoming a target yourself. Or thinking you can go to a school shooting, shoot the killer and not become a target yourself. Because people can totally tell who are the "good guys" and the "bad guys", right? But... once again... over 99% of injuries and deaths are not even attempted murders. It's just people thinking guns are either "in their control" or they are "a shield" or they are... what they are not. Because there is a lot of mysticism and idiocy surrounding "the idea" of guns. Which is not what they are. And ignorance is never the solution. So telling people "yeah, you pretty much have a gun mounted on your hand that you cannot remove from your body... do you want to jail yourself or fake that it is not there and wave at people with your gun hand, asking forgiveness when you shoot a kid dead because you waved too hard, or worse, you were patting his head? Or do you wish to actually learn how this thing works so you can be careful and stop being stupid and living in willful ignorance?" seems like the sensible thing to do if you ask me. 😅👍💖
