Status Update November 22nd
Added 2023-11-23 01:40:38 +0000 UTCThis is a combined update for last week and this week since I will be unable to work on any of my mods for the remainder of the week. I had been struggling with a way to come up with Sims to select to come to the career events for the escort career. EA's code for filtering singles is not working, so I have to come up with a different way and I don't want to limit it to singles. I do, however, want to control who is invited so that I don't end up with a situation like I experienced when I had one of my households come to another one for one of the game's stayovers and two of the guests left hating each other because of the game forcing them to fight while on the stay over. I had already put a block in place so that Sims with the WW "Eternally Faithful" trait or the game's "Loyal" trait would not come because the eternally faithful Sims would 100% reject any proposals, so having them there would be a waste of everybody's time and the loyal Sims would carry a negative experience for the rest of their Sim life if they were deemed to have cheated on their partner.
I have come up with a solution where I can check upon the game loading and verify that a Sim is eligible based on relationship status, career, and traits. This solution will require me to create a Python script and a new hidden trait that would be used to whitelist a Sim as eligible. If all things go to plan, I will have a Beta release very soon.
