I actually wrote this scene with the leftover feelings I had from when this happened to me. I had a thing with a guy back in college who was just experimenting at the time. He's married now with a kid but I don't hold it against him. It was fun while we were together, and I will always cherish those memories :) but the immediate pain of rejection was sucky to deal with at the time.
