WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOUR TEEN SON IS A PEDOPHILE? - PODCAST #46

If you believe pedophiles are born and not made, can you really fault the parents?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOUR TEEN SON IS A PEDOPHILE? - PODCAST #46

I think it’s a bit insensitive to say the parents “gave up” on him like a bunny mother does with a weaker bunny, I personally think the parents did what they thought was best for all their children. I also don’t agree with how you speak about the boy when you say things like “death”, and I think that the base of helping this child is with compassion. What I mean by that I believe there is a way of protecting others and at the same time helping him by getting him some kind of treatment. Not one person, child or adult, benefits from the lack of compassion for them, I think people turn out way worse when others shun them out of society and look at them like some kind of unhuman monster. I do feel hope for this child, and I hope that he can heal in a way so he can control his behavior in the future.

This makes me not want to have children. I can't imagine seeing my little nephews growing up and turning into a monster like this. That alone would crush me.

Lisa Misa

Really hard to see this. Feeling really sad for the parents, but I also think that nobody can help this guy.

SysC0mp

But he definitely needs to be l institutionalized for life

Katie Show

This broke my heart :(

8min in, are we going to talk about the high chance that this poor boy has been exposed to intense violent pornographic propaganda? Porn stats are only growing higher amongst children so that very very young for such intense pure evil mind altering shit

BarkBark

this kid seems like a serial rape murderer.

I watched the whole thing, held my comments until the end. It’s hard to answer if they’re born or made as they didn’t show us brain scans or give any official diagnosis but I’d think its a combination of genetic and environmental factors the same way lots of diseases go. There are cases of very young child psychopaths going on to live normal lives but they received hardcore treatment well before puberty. This is not my kid so it’s easier to say shoot him like a rabid dog but it’s looking more and more like this is the case… that or chemical castrate him. The level of selfishness is amazing.. my mom was molested for years as a kid and her family told her to get over it. My mother never recovered. I witnessed suicide attempts and drug abuse and prison. She died in my arms of an overdose at age 46. It destroyed her life and I knew this so deeply to the point when I was molested as a kid I never dared tell her. How fucking sad all around.

I’m only 5 minutes in the video but I hope to God whatever mental health professional assessed that child ruled out OCD- specifically the subtypes of fear of harming others and fear of being a pedafile. I treat adolescents who have intrusive thoughts (Aka thoughts combined with fear but no desire to act on the thought) about being a child molester, rapist etc. On a surface level, both a pedafile and someone with OCD might present similarly- “I have thoughts about molesting my sister.” However there is a huge difference between a pedafile and someone with ODC. The treatment is obviously vastly different as well which is why I hope the kid was assessed properly. And that’s the end of my rant lol.

So I work at a treatment center where half our population are teenage boys who have offended. Some on their siblings and some on random strangers. Hearing this story is familiar to what I deal with day to day. We work with only CPS kids (not private like she did). I agree with the old dude in the video that helping to develop the neural pathways helps significantly and then some of the other aspects of therapy can help with empathy for victims. I’ve seen a huge number of success but also seen some kids leave and return and you know they will likely reoffend. Interesting video to say the least.

Joshua Zamora

That poor woman 😞 I couldn’t imagine dealing with that.

Jennifer Carbone

Zak, every time you'd stop the video and make a comment, you would take the thoughts straight out of my head and say them out loud LOL gosh dang you're awesome, brother

Maybe a Steven Sandison 101 course. PS. Still waiting for my joining Patreon sticker or do we not send to Canada?

Voluntary castration. It’s been proven to work. But nobody talks about it and it’s been made illegal in some countries. It doesn’t completely erase their minds like a lobotomy, but it severely dampens their desire to be aggressive. The excessive aggression is linked to hormones which can be controlled by eliminating the source through castration. There are inmates who have volunteered knowing it was the only way to control themselves and it works.

Buzzkiller

That mother is an absolutely amazing woman. Step-mother at that, total opposite of the parents of the last young predator like you said.

Aaron Hires

"They will help, but only when it's too late." One of the worst things I've heard, because it is 100% true... We need something like from the movie MINORITY REPORT, if you haven't seen it, you should!!

Kristen DILLIGAF

I wonder exactly how long he was looking at porn and raping his victims? Where did he see S&M? It's clearly not the parents fault, these evil monsters start out young. It's scarey to think the treatment system was willing to not deal with him. I assume it's because of his attitude because he gets off on pain.

Theresa Ohman

in situations like this i feel like they should be physically and/or chemically castrated, but would that even work for him? would he still have the urge to be violent regardless of sexual capability? it's unfortunate how difficult of a situation this is. i can't imagine what this family is going through. i hope we get an update from her soon!

Julie Webster

Poor mother!

Jim Armstrong

love the parents. honestly getting their son help is really all they can do. they are so lucky that he was honest with them so early

Damuko
