Hey, I’ve noticed that you both talk about how the grounders can speak English and how you don’t know where they are at… I don’t think this is a spoiler, because they talked about it in episode 1, but it is easy to overlook things in a pilot episode. But, they are not far from mount weather (where the 100 were supposed to land). Mount weather is a real place. It’s an emergency compound in Virginia. So their location is what we would know as somewhere in the eastern United States. So any locals would still be descendants of people who in the majority spoke English as a first language. I hope that helps with any confusion.

No shade to Murphy but even if he hadn’t hunted Charlotte down I still think they would’ve been justified in banishing him. Morale is important in delicate situations like this and Murphy was making it harder for everyone to get on.
