It's a very hot summer this year.
The last week I've been working on several parallel scenes.
Meaning that you can move the character freely while some scenes play out.
Much in order to have NPC's do work while being chased.
Alot of controls had to be implemented but I think it's fairly foolproof by now.

As I mentioned earlier I've also been working on a few new effects.
One in the video has been tweaked many times by now, I'm not entirely sure that I will keep the latest tweak. Youtube did make it look potatoe, but I guess youtube has done that to all my videos.

Been working on several new characters a few has their own battlergraphics aswell.
And a few does have alternative facial sprites. I might have to make some of the new overlays brighter, I fear that some of the maps might be too dark.

You might have seen that I've paused the payments, this is because I need to focus alot of my energy on the last exams that's coming up. I'm kinda behind, much due to my own fault I guess I believed that it would be easy to do civics in 15 weeks. Which it most likely is, but not on distance courses which doesn't have lectures but rather just... well you can only reach the teacher if you send them a e-mail. I didn't expect this when I got into it, it's been going fairly well considering. But I do think it eats about 5 times more time of the day than it should. And... I basicly just have one shot at finishing the course. Screwed if I don't.

I will however still work on the game, just not at the tempo that I'd like to do. And I already feel astho it's been suffering slightly due to the civics course already. But on a happier note I've finished three more of the remake pictures for the old bath scene with Claud and Urban. I think that you'll like them, they are significantly better. Even the basic linework are miles apart. Perhaps I should show that in my next post?

Anyway! I'm sorry for the inconvinence, I know a few of your are itching to play the new update. But it'll take a while before I can finish it. It's hard to say how far along that I am. But  I'm hoping that the later areas will be a breeze to make because I basicly have the tilesets finished for those.

Thank you! I always try to push the engine further with each update. And eventho I've been working on the game for so long I still figure out new tricks. Oh you're making your own game, perhaps I'll get to see that one day then? :-) I think most people are running with MV these days. MZ will surely replace it in a year or two tho. Much like VX ACE replaced the old VX.

Awesome! Thank you! Yes I'm still learning new tricks on how to do things in RPGmaker. While this function is rather new and still in early stages of development it'll be fun to figure out more things to do with the layered parallaxes. One new function with the custom tileswap script that is going to be in this update is building of bridges in realtime. Unlike throwing events at the problem, simply swapping out tiles has zero performance impact and are passable by random walk npcs :-), earlier you saw this script making tracks in the mud. But I have more plans with some real fancy stuff :-) I really do hate taking much time to make things tho, it makes me stressful. I hope you have an awesome summer :-)

Damn! Impressive as always! That's why I love rpgmaker vx ace, so much potential and many never use it all. Keep up the good work and take your time ;)
