[Update + 3D] Life Update + Vi-riety Set!

Hey folks! Sorry it's been a while since my last post here, but I hope by the end of this it'll make a bit more sense!

If you're in the Discord server you probably already know a bit of what's going on, but if not then you definitely should be! It's where commissions get announced (and claimed) first, as well as where I post the occasional one-off renders like the ones I posted here or the ones I can't post here because Patreon would ban me. Y'know... the ones with Werewolves and Minotaur bits... We all generally have a good time! JOIN US!

ANYWAYS, about a month ago now Mrs Nero and I came to a very sudden realization that we simply couldn't afford to live in our home anymore for a variety of reasons and on top of that, we also couldn't afford to move. We were stuck.

I reached out for some help on Discord in the form of Emergency commissions, and many of you responded and in force! We put enough money together to be able to afford F&L for a new apartment, truck rental, movers, etc etc etc and that's all thanks to you guys and your support!!

So, the last few weeks have been hectic; first it was finding an apartment in a city 90 minutes away. There were a couple rejections but we got one! Then it was figuring out Mrs Nero's work transfer, which literally only got resolved finally TODAY. There was scheduling the truck, the movers, a dumpster to clean this place up and downsize before we leave, internet services (more on that in a bit), and then of course - packing, packing, packing for our move on December 28th.

So that's where I've been, and frankly it's where I'm going to be until the 29th when we get internet in the new place, and oh-baby, we're back to gigabit internet!!! After being on <5mbps for the last 18+ months, I cannot wait... And you know what that means? STREAMS! But more on that down the road a bit.

In terms of content/posts for this Patreon, I'm going to follow this post with a dump of renders that I had done for those E-comms I mentioned, and then I'll be focusing on closing this house up for the move. I may not be in the Discord very much until then, and you may not see another post here after today until the end of the month (Except for maybe one for the 25th <3), but we will be back and in proper action very soon!

Lastly, you may have noticed a major up-tick in 3D content vs 2D content, especially this month. I just want to be open and transparent about this; right now, I'm having an absolute blast with learning and making 3D content. 2D always has a special place in my heart, and I know that many of you prefer it, but the honest truth is that it's immensely more time and work to make one picture. I'm posting 18 rendered images for you today, and in the time it took to make them I -might- have been able to get one 2D image done.

Now that's not to say I'm no longer making 2D art. Aside from a couple of remaining commissions I've unfortunately had to delay, I will get back to making them. However. My intention going into 2022 will be that Most if not All my commissions will be 3D, which will leave me time and energy to make the 2D content that I want to make for myself, which has always been my most popular/highest quality content. I will still take 2D commissions, however expect a steep rise in the price to offset the time it takes to actually make them. I know that won't be popular, but it's one of those practical business decisions that I have to make. The outcome of all this will be a consistent and heavy stream of content in the form of 3D renders (and I'm hoping Animations in 2022, fingers crossed), with occasional but high-quality 2D images that I get inspired to make (Viola content, maybe comics someday, the sorts of things I simply don't have time to do otherwise), and the odd 2D commission I decide to take on that someone is willing to pay for.

I'm not releasing any more information on this now, it's not been hammered out in my head yet, it's just an early heads up. I'll let you guys know once I've got it all figured out!
