Good future video: How to build and tune a Steele-like quad with BF that flies the same as the $900 version... Could you achieve the same results for $450 or $400?

What difference between kiss in beta flight and what easier to use for a rookie??

I’ve been lucky enough to fly Steele’s quad in the past and it is a very smooth, well thought out build as you’d expect. There’s a couple of things that do stand out about him and the way he does things; one is the attention for detail to have things exactly how he wants them. The second is his flying - forget about the headline stuff like dives and combination moves, what he’s really really good at is the simple stuff. Hovering precisely in place, guiding the quad slowly through tight gaps etc. I found it quite impressive.

Cause when you spend $900, your brain has to justify it as better, maybe? I'm with you. The basics of a PID controller is so simple. I mean, P=the PID Error * P-Gain. It is multiplying to numbers together, how do you do that "better"?

I'd love to see a video where Kiss vs Betaflight is explained. I read so much stuff about how kiss is 'so much better' but I cannot for the life of me understand why. If you have 2 quad with the (almost) same characteristics (AUW, center of gravity, distribution of weight, props, size, everything as similar as possible), I cannot believe that one would fly much better. I could believe there to be a bit of a better flight performance but I can't imagine it being night and day difference...

It looked as if your flying with more confidence with that quad. I've never flown kiss myself,, I bet it's really nice, but I just cant see 900 bucks, I think if I had a budget of 900 to build a quad, it would fly pretty nice too.

Your questions about the throttle it isnt kiss it's the build I have a similar quad with similar weight and it was like a whole different world when I flew it. I'm on BF though with a slightly different approach to get there.

Nice flying Joshua! Definitely have been seeing improvements throughout the project. As for the quad though... hoooly shit does $900 seem obnoxious. Even with the... "questionably" priced frame and a generous $100 build fee, we're not even close to $900. So ~$300 for a tune? Makes me wonder who this is for. I wouldn't imagine too many experienced pilots wanting to pay that markup. Maybe someone just getting into the hobby that thinks this will make them fly like Steele?
